It Is Finished – Walk in His Authority
Sunday Word
Beloved family and friends,
Today I want to speak straight from my heart to yours. In a world that pulls us in every direction—telling us we’re not enough, that we have to earn love, prove our worth, or fight for every scrap of peace—there is One who stands above it all. His name is Jesus.
Jesus is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He is the Word made flesh, the Creator who stepped into His own creation out of relentless love. He is the Good Shepherd who knows your name, the Friend who sticks closer than a brother, the Healer of broken hearts, and the King of kings. He is holy, yet He welcomes the weary. He is powerful, yet gentle with the wounded. He sees every hidden tear, every quiet battle, and every unspoken prayer.
And because of who He is, look at what He has already done.
On that cruel cross, Jesus didn’t just suffer—He finished it. He took upon Himself every sin you and I would ever commit. Every failure, every shame, every addiction, every regret—He nailed it all there.
The Bible says He became sin for us so that we might become the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21). He paid the debt we could never pay. With His final breath He declared, “It is finished!” (John 19:30). The price was paid in full. The veil was torn. Access to the Father was opened forever.
Three days later, He rose from the grave—victorious over death, hell, and the grave.
Because He lives, we live. Because He conquered, we are more than conquerors.
And here is the powerful truth I want you to hold onto today: Because of what Jesus has already done, you have authority in Him.
You are no longer a slave to fear, shame, or the enemy’s lies. You are a child of God, seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you through the Holy Spirit. You have authority to resist the devil, to speak life over your family, to walk in freedom, and to stand firm in the storms. The blood of Jesus is not just forgiveness—it is your covering, your weapon, and your victory.
My friend, stop living like the battle is still being fought. It is finished. Jesus already won. Now walk in the authority of the One who paid it all.
If you’re carrying guilt today—lay it down.
If you’re battling shame—receive His forgiveness.
If you feel powerless—remember who lives in you.
Jesus is not a distant God. He is near. He is for you. He has already done the hardest part. Now He invites you to live in the freedom He purchased with His own blood.
Will you receive Him afresh today?
Will you declare with confidence: “I am who God says I am because of what Jesus has done”?
Let’s pray together:
Lord Jesus, thank You. Thank You for who You are—the Savior, the Redeemer, the risen King. Thank You for the cross and for declaring “It is finished.” I surrender every burden, every sin, every fear into Your hands. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Help me walk in the authority and freedom You paid for in full. I am Yours. In Your mighty name, Amen.
If this message touched your heart, share it with someone who needs to hear it. You are loved. You are redeemed. And in Jesus, you are victorious.
With love and faith,
