Jesus Lives!

Good morning, beloved friends and family in Christ! Grace, mercy, and peace be multiplied unto you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We come together today, not by accident, but by divine appointment, on this Resurrection Sunday.

We don’t gather for rituals or traditions of men/women—we gather because the tomb is empty and our Savior is alive!

Open your Bibles with me to 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 (NASB). Let’s read the very heart of the Gospel together:“Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep; then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles; and last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared to me also.

This is not a fairy tale. This is not ancient history that doesn’t touch your life today. This is the Gospel—the good news that saves sinners like you and me right where we are. We are ALL sinners who ALL fall short of the Glory of God.

Listen, life is hard. Some of you woke up this morning carrying burdens heavier than you can bear.

Maybe the doctor gave you a report that shook your world.

Maybe the bills are piling up and fear is whispering you won’t make it.

Maybe grief has moved into your home and won’t leave.

Maybe you’ve made mistakes that haunt you and you wonder if God could ever forgive you again.

I’m here to tell you with every ounce of faith in my heart—Jesus Lives! That same Jesus who hung on the cross for your sins, who was laid in a borrowed tomb, who conquered death and hell—He is alive today!

He is not a distant memory. He is not a powerless religious figure. He is the risen King, and because He lives, your story is not over!

Let me show you three powerful truths from this passage that will strengthen your heart today:

First, the Gospel is personal—it’s for you.

Christ died for our sins. Not for perfect people. Not for those who have it all together.

He died for the broken, the addicted, the anxious, the failing, the doubting. He died for the single mom working two jobs, for the man who lost his job last week, for the teenager who feels invisible.

Whatever your struggle is right now, the cross was for you.

The empty tomb is your proof that the price has been paid in full.

Second, the Gospel is powerful—death has been defeated.

He was buried, but He didn’t stay there! On the third day He rose again.

The stone was rolled away. The grave clothes were folded. Death could not hold Him, and because He lives, the same resurrection power is available to you today.

That power can break addiction.

That power can restore your marriage.

That power can heal your body.

That power can turn your mourning into dancing.

Jesus Lives!

And His life is now your life!

Third, the Gospel is proven—by eyewitnesses and by changed lives.

Over five hundred people saw the risen Christ at one time. Paul saw Him. And today, millions more—including many of you—have met the living Jesus. You’ve felt His peace in the storm. You’ve seen Him provide when there was no way. You’ve experienced forgiveness that you know you didn’t deserve. That’s real-world evidence that Jesus is alive and active right now.

So what does this mean for you today?

It means you don’t have to carry that guilt anymore.

It means your pain has purpose.

It means your future is secure.

It means you can face tomorrow with confidence because the One who conquered the grave is walking with you.

If you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, today is your day. Right where you are—whether you’re in your living room, in the church building, or reading this later—call on the name of the Lord.

Repent of your sins and believe that Jesus died for you, was buried, and rose again. He will save you instantly.

If you’re a believer but you’ve grown weary or drifted, come back home. The risen Savior is waiting with open arms. He’s not mad at you—He’s calling you by name. He knew you before you knew him. You didn't find Jesus, Jesus found you, because he wasn't the one who was lost. You were. Amazing Grace, I was lost, but now I'm found.

Jesus Lives! Let that truth ring loud today. Let it change how you face every battle, every tear, every trial. Because He lives, we can face anything. Because He lives, we have hope. Because He lives, death has lost its grip on us and the grave has lost its victory!

Closing Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the Gospel. Thank You that Jesus died for us, was buried, and rose again the third day. We declare with one voice—Jesus Lives! Fill every heart here with fresh hope. Save those who don’t know You yet. Restore the weary. Strengthen the weak. And let the power of the resurrection be seen in our lives this week for Your glory.

In the mighty, matchless name of the risen Lord Jesus Christ we pray,

Amen and Amen!

Go out into this world and tell somebody—Jesus Lives! He is risen indeed! Walk in victory, because the victory is ours to have. We love you, we’re praying for you, and at JR Tyndale Ministries, we have a powerful prayer team to lift you up. Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!

Please share with those who need to hear this message for this very day, and this very hour.
